Enterprise Singapore, together with the National Environment Agency (NEA), Housing & Development Board (HDB) and JTC Corporation (JTC), has issued a Call-for-Collaboration (CFC) to seek e-payment solutions from the industry. The CFC calls for practical e-payment solutions that are cost-effective and user-friendly to support micropayments at hawker centres, coffee shops and industrial canteens.

The CFC opens from 4 April to 14 May 2018. If you are interested in participating in the CFC, click here to find out more.

Food Services

Singapore is renowned as one of Asia Pacific’s food capitals. Not surprisingly, our Food Services industry plays a vital role in our economy. The industry contributed 0.8% of Singapore’s GDP and employed about 160,000 workers in 2016.

This vibrant industry is highly competitive. Increasingly, local food companies are leveraging technology and differentiating themselves with innovative dining concepts, products, and service offerings to boost efficiency and enhance customers’ dining experiences. More companies are also establishing their brands overseas through joint ventures, franchises or corporate-owned outlets.

A national plan, the Food Services Industry Transformation Map (ITM), was launched in 2016 to spur more innovation among companies as the industry works towards achieving an annual productivity gain of 2% without any increase in manpower over the next five years.
